MIDROC Gold Mine PLC, a leading mining company in Ethiopia, has announced a successful implementation of state of the art Enterprise Resource Planning software with Agresso Business World. MIDROC Gold was seeking a solution that could manage ongoing changes as its requirements evolved in the future, which it found out that Agresso’s unique solution will serve the specialized needs of the company and seamlessly integrates the business functions that a dynamic, forward-thinking company requires.
Unit 4 Agresso, the leading provider of agile Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software delivered and implemented a full suite of capabilities – including finance, human resources, procurement, and inventory modules.
“The new system will give MIDROC Gold the flexibility they need to improve efficiency and reduce costs,” said Mekdim Getachew, Manager, Software Application & System Analysis at MIDROC CEO Management and Leadership Services PLC, a company that has undertaken the ERP project implementation process on behalf of MIDROC Gold.
“It will cut duplicated effort on administration and improve collaboration between departments, while its real-time reporting will mean strategic decisions can be made using the very latest information,” he said.
On the other hand the same kind of data center project was launched at MIDROC CEO Information Technology center. A new project called server based Mechare Network System inaugurated on September 23, 2015.

The MIDROC Gold Mine PLC project “Enterprise Resource Planning Software” and MIDROC CEO Management & Leadership Project “Server based Mechare Network System” has taken 2-3 years for installation respectively & costs birr 22 million.
